Flashmob

Every person should have an opportunity to take a bit of rest due to his favorite activity. Not so long ago, my friends have brought a new kind of activity into my life, which is going to become the sense of my existence, because it’s pure fun!

I’m talking now about the activity called “flashmob”. Some of you, probably wonder what it is. I’ll tell you.

Flashmob is a planned in advance mass action involving volunteer accidental people. The mob suddenly appears in public places and starts doing the actions (again, planned in advance) all together with absolutely serious faces, even if the action itself is more absurd than you can ever imagine. This activity has the starting point and the end, after which the mob turns into separate accidental people in the street again.

The psychological principle of every flashmob is to create an absurd situation and pretend that the action is regular. This makes the observers get involved in the performance, at least to wonder what all this stuff is done for. There is even a motto: “A flashmob is out of politics, out of economics”.

If you wonder what the aims are, the answer is quite simple: there are no aims. Mobbers are not payed, they do not follow some political goals, it’s not even a modification of protest. Everything is inside a mobber. The desire to become a participant of a flashmob can come from several obvious reasons:

  • having fun;

  • feeling free from stereotypes;

  • impressing the society;

  • getting self-confidence (you just check if you can do such things in public);

  • adrenaline;

  • feeling a part of something big and significant;

  • emotional freedom;

  • having lots of new friends.

That’s what I really love now! Go, catch up with us, become a flashmobber and you will never regret it! I’m sure you love to get pure joy and fun out of piratically nothing;)
